>>> The Project Fair, Oct 13-15, 2005 (17) Held at the La Palm Hotel in Accra, the fair had 120 participants, 53 exhibitors, and presented over 175 projects for a total budget over $3,000,000. You can see the list of projects on the Matching Grant Website >>> School Visit with Tema Rotary Club, 13-Oct-05 (36) On the Saturday afternoon, I went to a project site visit with the Rotary Club of Tema. We visited a school in the village of Ajumanikope, North of Tema, where some international Rotary Clubs provided the funding for a water harvesting and library project. >>> Street Aid Project, 17-Oct-05 (66) On Monday we visited the Street Aid Project, and we had a tour of the "Market", where a lot of the homeless street girls come from. The last few pictures are from the new building location for the project. >>> Orphanage Africa, 18-Oct-05 (76) On Tuesday, we started by going to a local school to drop some donated books. Then we visited a nursery school run by the president-elect of the Accra Labone Rotary Club. Then we had a meeting with the Rotary Club of Accra and Orphanage Africa, and ended the day with Lisa Lovatt-Smith at the new location of Orphanage Africa, in a rural area North of Accra. >>> All Pictures (no index) (195) |
